I have a passion of unifying and bringing brands to life through design and photography. I explored this passion by being part of a design team for a corporate Fortune 500 company as well as through small business and startup partnerships. I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2013 with a BA in graphic design and a minor in fine arts. I have been a hobby photographer for over a decade and a professional photographer since 2011. During my time in the corporate world I took part in a major branding overhaul which included copy and design implementation and teaching across the company. I also rebranding four acquisitions, repositioning them to be on message with our parent company. During which I worked along side other design teams to teach and transition their team into ours. I have worked side-by-side with startups and small businesses as they grew from an idea to successful companies, restaurants and non-profits. I spent much of my time in both of these worlds working on web design, rebranding, naming, copy edits and photography.
I find I do my best work when I nurture myself outside of work with a healthy creative life. I spend my free time wheel throwing, print making and taking photos. I have a 1-year-old daughter who consumes most of my memory card space. I love soul music, soul food and craft IPAs. I can finish off a basket of fries in a matter of minutes and I run marathons to balance out my fry and beer diet.
